Event Day(s):
Saturday 26 July, 13:00-15:30
A walking tour of a Westmorland Dales village which still retains its basic medieval layout. Discover why compensation had to be paid to the neighbours when a new vicarage was built, who wanted to redevelop the village as a health resort, and why you should never believe everything you see on your satnav! Walk led by two committee members from the Ravenstonedale History Group.
Numbers are limited and booking is essential: reserve your place by emailing info@westmorlanddalesfestival.org
Western Dales Bus transport is available free of charge from Kirkby Stephen, leaving the Market Square at 12:30 and returning from Ravenstonedale at 15:15.
Or meet in Ravenstonedale at the car park near the school/church for a 13:00 start.
