The Friends of the Settle-Carlisle Line are delighted to be supporting the Westmorland Dales Festival and will be attending on both days. Our stall will be offering some fabulous Settle-Carlisle Railway merchandise celebrating our 150th Anniversary this year, and also the chance to join us as a member and get a whole host of discounts.
Our stall will be run by some of our amazing volunteers so why not pop along to chat with them about how to get involved?
Volunteers are involved right across the range of services and activities we offer from gardening at stations to serving in our shops and cafes, leading group excursions either on foot or on the train providing a commentary and insight into the fascinating history or helping look after our signal boxes. As a volunteer you get to travel for free on the line to your 'place of volunteering' so it's a great way to experience the line whilst helping out.
